"We will see." Dusty Baker might bid farewell to the Astros, as per sources
Texas Rangers got the ticket to the World Series at Globe Life Field after securing victory against last year's champions Houston Astros in the ALCS. The Rangers have been eagerly waiting to appear on the WS stage since their loss to the Cardinals in 2011. This is a golden chance for them to create history with their maiden World Series Championship win in 2023.
While the Rangers are focusing on the World Series, the Houston Astros will meet their fans next season. Despite a dominating comeback with consecutive three wins, the Astros failed to hold their lead in the ALCS. The 2023 AL West pennants have five World Series appearances and have been qualifying for the playoffs since 2017 but got the ring only once.

"I don’t know, I haven’t had time to evaluate and think about my future," Busty said during the postgame press conference regarding his future with the team.
"You got to savor what we did, think about how we can get better and then I’ll evaluate my situation in my life. And so, we will see."
Baker, 74 years old, has been a successful manager for the Astros for four seasons. With a .586 winning percentage, he led the franchise to four consecutive ALCS appearances and twice in the World Series.
"When he is done managing, I know he has a lot of knowledge to offer an organization,” said 61-year-old Baker’s wife, Melissa, who expressed that her husband hasn’t made a final decision yet. “I know he can help to build a winner. My husband just wants to win and is a winner.”
He talked to The Athletic multiple times about his uncertainty to leave the Astros. But as per many sources, it is the first time Dusty talked about leaving managerial duties and getting some time away from the game.
If this certainly became the last season for Baker, then the Astros have to focus on getting a new manager before the 2024 regular season.
Houston Astros advanced to the ALCS to play against Texas Rangers. Despite the Rangers' two-game leads in the series, the Astros came back strongly in Game 3 and continued their winning streak till Game 5.
From just one win away from the World Series, the Astros' dreams were crushed by Texas with back-to-back victories in the last two games of the ALCS, resulting in a 4-3 series loss to the former World Series Champions.
